Todd Altman Obituary

Todd R Altman, age 41, passed away suddenly at his home on the NorthSide on Sunday September 8, 2024. Beloved son of Robert Altman and Sharon Wirth. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Justin Holecy, best friend and partner, Erin Burkovich, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. He was the fun PUNKle(Professional Uncle No Kids) and cherished his special Kiddos. Even casual acquaintances became friends when they felt his undeniable spark. He loved all animals but none more than his fur babies George & Tippi, who will miss his cuddles and the way he gave them extra kibbles when no one was looking.

Although moving around the city in his youth his heart belonged to the North Side of town. He was a Pittsburgh fan through and through. Always cheering loudly, win or lose. He was passionate about comics, reading for hours into the night, carefully turning the pages & returning them to their protective sleeves. "They could be worth something someday." he would say. His favorite character, Deadpool, and he had a lot in common. A complicated hero/anti-hero, conflicted, sensitive, and he certainly was not afraid to speak his mind. He was an avid Anime & Manga fan. He loved learning about other cultures and had respect & care for all peoples of the world. He enjoyed television and cinema and all things artistic & creative. He always wanted to share those experiences with others. He could watch something three times in a row if it meant someone else would be able to enjoy it with him. He was an intelligent and perceptive person. Never afraid to make his thoughts known. Todd felt emotions strongly. He cared deeply. Loved passionately. Any amount of heartbreak around him or in the world hurt him tremendously. Todd loved fun, loved to laugh, and always seemed to find a smile or joke even in crisis. He was a hard worker and did his best no matter the job. He had a way of excelling at tasks and making it look easy. He was always prepared to aid anyone in need. Never asking for anything in return. The loss of his presence & effervescence will be felt by everyone's life he touched.
