Sean J Walsh Sr., age 37 of Pittsburgh, Pa. passed away peacefully after a long fought battle with congestive heart failure and many complications on December 11, 2025 with his devoted family by his side. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Brennan, and his aunt Judy Walsh, who were very close to him. He leaves behind his mother, Peggy, father Jim, stepmother Beth, and very best friend his brother Chris.

He also leaves his daughter Alana, his granddaughter, Ember; his children, Sean Jr. , James, Alexis, and Aidan and their mother, his longtime companion, Brandi Gilbert and her children Raquel, Lee, and Tatiana who also loved Sean. He will be dearly missed by Aunt Gerry (Tom) Gavin and Joyce (the late Paul) Malloy, Uncle Joe (Debbie) Walsh, and the late Uncle John (late Mary) Walsh. Cousins Tommy, Shannon, Joey, Mike, Nikki, Paul, Jimmy, Mandy, Kelli, Matt, John, Jill, Jennifer, and many friends.

Sean was full of life! He could have a conversation with anyone about almost any subject. He could argue any side of any argument. He loved to talk and tell stories. He had just started to write a book! He was also a wonderful chef who loved to cook with his children. He made delicious hamburgers, steak, shrimp gumbo, tacos, chicken, and pork.

Sean donated his organs and tissue through CORE (Center for Organ Recovery and Education ) for transplant and education. Two people are living better lives because of Sean‘s kidneys. In lieu of flowers donations can be made for the care and education of Sean‘s children should be directed to Sean‘s mother, Peggy Walsh. There will be a Private Celebration of Sean‘s life on his birthday May 23, 2026
