Sandra Lee “Sandi” Weber
October 27, 1951-November 15, 2023

Passed away age 72. Beloved Mother of Steven Ross. She was supported in her later years by her niece Tessa McCaffrey “Tessalula” and her cherished son Steven Ross.

She will be missed by many cousins, close relatives and friends including aunt Jo and her cousin Ginny.

Sandi worked for more than three decades to advance the rights and independence of people who are disabled, most notably as the Executive Director of PA SILC.

She believed passionately in the right to self-determination. She was also a member of and mentor in Pennsylvania ADAPT,

a direct-action organization that works for disability justice.

She enjoyed quilting, reading, playing cards and the Steelers. She was a hospice volunteer and an animal lover.

She was also a graduate of South Hills High School and Carlow University.

Sandi is predeceased by her parents Al and Nadine Weber and her baby brother Al.

On Monday November 27th, from 6-8pm there will be a visitation service.

The service will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church.

All are welcome!
For family and close friends there will be a 20 minute committal service on Wednesday
November 29th at 1pm. This will be held at
Allegheny County Memorial Park.
There will also be a celebration of life event that I hope to plan in the summer. For those who can't make it this time.
