Pittsburgh, PA - Ruth Ann Rothert, a devoted mother, grandmother, and dog lover, passed away with her daughter by her side on October 10, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on November 28, 1952, Ruth was the loving daughter of the late Joe and Betty Hezlep. She is survived by her partner, Tony; daughter, Sherry Rothert (James Kravic); siblings, RJ, Ellen, and Richard Hezlep, and Marie Parisi (Bill); nieces and nephews, William and Elizabeth Parisi; and also survived by many dear friends.
Ruth graduated from Domenec High School in 1970 and dedicated her life to her family. She later worked at Sky Vue Terrace, where she took great pride in cleaning the building and caring for the residents, ensuring everyone felt at home.
Ruth's heart belonged to her furry grandchild, Archie the dog, who affectionately knew her as "Ganny." Her passions included Halloween, autumn, haunted houses, and horror movies, often finding joy in the Lifetime movie network. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music of many genres, savoring Grant Bar shrimp, and indulging in Swedish Fish.
A Memorial Mass will be held this Friday October 17, 2025 at 10am at St. Anthony's Chapel in Troy Hill. Burial is to be announced on a later day at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
