To begin, I would like to share some words from my sister, Brandy: Life is so fragile. You blink and it ends like that. Rob's last days he never stopped trying to do the next best thing. We all get to choose, and I know Rob chose the light over darkness and was victorious in his last few days. He found peace with God, excitement for what lies ahead and hope for his future. When she thinks of Rob, some things immediately come to mind: Fighter, protector, provider. Silly, kind, fun loving, goof ball, always willing to give or share his resources and lend a helping hand. He loved spending time with his children, family, and friends. Rob was so generous; once, while sharing a lunch, he threatened his sister, saying “If you touch that check, I will karate chop you in the throat!” Rob had his challenges and dealt with them for most of his life. As a result, he had a difficult time. Despite such adversity, Rob was always ready to help. He put his family and friends first. His dedication to Grace and Lincoln was incredible. Anything they needed, he was there, no matter the cost. Regardless of what was happening in his personal life, Rob’s giving spirit always shone through. When times were tough for him, he always looked for ways to help his loved ones. He used his vast skillset to make life better for those in his life. Robert struggled with addiction. He bravely battled his demons for years and never gave up. He had a positive outlook and fought the good fight! He was successful in staying clean for almost a year and dedicated his time and his talents to helping those around him, not only family, but new – found friends as well. Rob had a huge heart! Anytime there was a need, he was there, ready to assist in any way possible. His light shone brightly, and the world will be a darker place without it. We will miss your smile, your laughter, and your kind and helpful spirit. You will always be loved and, although we do miss you greatly, we all know you are in a better place with our Savior in Paradise. We are so grateful that you were able to find peace and salvation. While our world will not be the same without you, we all know that the Lord is enjoying your suggestions as to how to improve Heaven and fix those leaking pipes! We miss you and look forward to seeing you in eternity!
