Lorraine Geissler-Cipri
June 10, 1933—July 20, 2022
After battling Alzheimer's and cancer, Lorraine Geissler-Cipri of
Spring Hill passed peacefully on Wednesday July 20, 2022. Born in
Pittsburgh on June 10, 1933, to the late Herbert and Anna Geissler;
she is predeceased by her late husband Mario Cipri and sister Elizabeth “Betty” (the late Robert) Lober.
Lorraine is survived by her brother Henry (the late Marguerite) Geissler,
her four children Mario Cipri, Renee Cipri-White,
Anthony Cipri, “Ava” Anne Cipri, her beloved grandsons Mario
and Shaun Cipri, and many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine met her loving husband Mario while he was stationed in the Army in Pittsburgh
before moving to Connecticut and starting a family.
She remained lifelong friends (since grade school) with
Shirley and the late Norma Jean, Rita, and Ethel.
Lorraine lived life to the fullest: going on family picnics, taking her children to the beach,
and visiting museums. Many memories were made visiting her Italian
mother-in-law Louise for Sunday dinner talking around the table
and laughing with sisters-in-laws Grace, Edith, Gloria and Rose.
With her gregarious laugh, Lorraine was often “the life of the party”.
She loved entertaining her family and proudly displaying
her husband's artwork throughout their home.
An avid reader, she always had a book in her hand;
she loved Agatha Christie mysteries
and the poetry of Emily Dickinson and Robert Frost.
