Joseph “Joe” Michael Shively

Passed unexpectedly at his home in Bellevue

 January 3, 2021 at the age of 55.

Joe was born April 15, 1965, on the Northside of Pittsburgh.

Son of the late Patrick and Rose Shively.

Joe is survived by his brother Patrick T. Shively Jr. and his sister Cindy Pringle.

Joe is proceeded in death by his sister Maureen D’Angelo

And his brother Paul C. Shively.

Since the day his mother brought him home from the hospital,

He was loved by his siblings.

He is the loving Uncle of Robert and Heather Mahich,

And David (Jessica) Pringle.

Great Uncle of Chloe, Justice, David, and Hayden.

And Special Friend of Sandy Anderson.

Joe was a contractor by trade. We called him Joe the Builder.

He had so much talent he could be a house from the ground up.

He loved being a contractor and was so proud when he completed a job.

He would send us pictures all the time.

Joe was kind and loving with a heart of gold.

He never cared about material things and would help anyone.

He would give you his last dollar if you needed it.

I have known Joe to give a stranger his coat because they did not have one.

Joe was energetic, full of life, and enjoyed cooking.

He cooked at a few restaurants in Pittsburgh when he was younger,

But he learned most of his skills from our mom – the best cook we knew.

He is loved and will be missed by all forever.

A Memorial Service is being planned by his family and will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers - donations are being accepted by the funeral home.
