John “Jack” Schanbacher
March 18, 1958- February 17, 2022
Jack was born on Spring Hill and resided there his entire life. He attended St. Ambrose Grade School and North Catholic High School. He enjoyed participating in sports. He loved baseball, football, basketball, golf, and bowling. He worked and retired after 37 years with the United States Postal Service. He loved family vacations and going to their condo in Daytona Beach Florida. He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, and the Daytona Beach Kennel Club. He mas married on September 22, 1979, to Bernet (Lennartz) Schanbacher. They had three children Michele, John Jr., and Jason. In 2008, his first grandchild was born, Nathan Bernard Schanbacher. He was so proud to be called “Pap”. He loved watching him grow up and even at the end, when Nathan walked in the room he would always smile, want a kiss, and reach up for a hug from his Na-Na. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, amazing father, and the Best Pap that Nathan could have ever wished for. We love and miss you so much. Thanks for loving us!
