Obituary

Jean Blow was born on September 20, 1935 in Columbus, GA, the

only child of the late Lilla and James Austin.

In her early teenage years, she moved to the city of Pittsburgh. She

was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School System and proudly

graduated with high honors from Fifth Avenue High School..

A few years after graduating, she met the man who would later

become her husband, Thomas Lester Blow. They married in 1960

and started building their family. They lived in St. Clair Village and

raised their family with love and dedication, making their children’s

needs a top priority. Jean and Thomas remained married until his

death on December 5, 2014, lasting for more than 30 years.

Jean loved shopping and was a sophisticated lady with style. She was

known throughout St. Clair Village as a top-notch, detailed

seamstress who incorporated experience, passion and

professionalism into everything she made. Her creations were

amazing and always beautiful.

Jean leaves to celebrate her life four (4) children; Terry (Robert)

Thomas, Jr., (Laverne), Jay (LayLay) and Kelly (Tony); 15

grandchildren; Rakell who was her dedicated caregiver, Raheem,
