James H. Manson, Jr. 72, of Pittsburgh, died Thursday, June 15, 2023. He was born October 9, 1951, son of the late James H. Manson, Sr. and Gloria V. (Carter) Manson. James was a lover of jazz music and spent much of his free time listening to and collecting an extensive library of music. His love of jazz was only surpassed by his fandom for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He retired from the City of Pittsburgh in 2017 after 44 years. He leaves behind no children of his own but held many fondly in his thoughts.
James was also preceded in death by his older sister Betty J. Massey and younger brothers; Jeffery A. and Stephen B. Survived in death by younger brothers Maurice K.; Curtis T.; Trent D. (Leslie); Kyle E.; Grayling G.; and younger sister T’annehya C. Young. He is also survived by a vast array of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
