George Triantafillos 84 of Pittsburgh was called home May 13th 2021 with his family by his side.
George immigrated to the United states in 1971. Later in 1974, his wife and children joined him. George opened his very own barber shop, known as George’s barber shop which was a staple of the Northside. George always made time to be with his family and instilled the importance of God, hard work, and being a patriot. George will always be remembered for his love of his church, family, and wrestling. George is now reunited with his wife and love of his life Maria, whom he married just nine days after meeting. They were happily married for 47 years until she was called home in 2010.
George was the son of Themelis and Sevasti Triantafillos (Christofi). George leaves behind his children: Themelis and Laura Triantafillos of Pittsburgh, Anna Koulianos of Youngstown Ohio, and Despina Triantafillos of Youngstown Ohio. Grandchild: Charles and Joey Koulianos of Canfield Ohio, George Koulianos of Campbell Ohio, and his beautiful great granddaughter Markella Sophia Koulianos. Additionally, George leaves behind his brother Vasili Triantafillos of Kalymnos Greece, and brother in law Panteli Trikilis.
George is proceeded in death by his parents Themelis and Sevasti along with his brother and sister-in-law Mikee’ and Maria Triantafillos.
Visitation will be on Tuesday May 18thfrom 10-12 with a church service to follow at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church: 985 Providence Blvd, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Donations and memorials can be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Masks are required at all times in Church.
