George M. Panyon

Age 77, of Ross Township, formally of the North Side. Passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, March 8, 2026 after a hard battle with cancer.

He won the first two battles, but the third was just too tough. The beloved husband of Cindy Panyon, father of Mary Craig, Derek Panyon, and Billy Joe McCune, many grandchildren, dear brother of Pete Panyon, and JoAnne Wine. Special friend to Bill and Eric Dickey. Proceeded in death by his parents, George and Caroline Panyon. He served in the US army and National Guard and later had various jobs. He enjoyed fishing, attending carnivals, watching the Steelers and wrestling, decorating outdoors for holidays, listening to oldies and country music, vacationing in the Outer Banks and Erie, viewing Allison Park Services online, and spending time with his spouse and his dog, Shadow.  Best known for his sense of humor, and willingness to help others.

The family wishes to thank the AHN staff for their excellent care, and a private family service was held to honor George Panyon on Friday March 13, 2026.
