George Blackledge

George Blackledge, affectionately called Uncle George, was born September 15, 1952

in Monrovia Liberia, Africa to the late parents Arron and Joahnella Blackledge.

George was raised and educated in Monrovia Liberia, Africa until February 2, 1979

when he relocated to the USA, where several of his family members lived. 

George eventually moved to Pittsburgh, PA where his sister Delicha Lattaker resided.

He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Reverend J.V.A. Winsett.

George was employed by the Ebenezer Baptist Church as a maintenance person.

He worked for The Quality Management Company before his brief illness. 

George is survived by his sister Delisha Lattaker, his four nieces:

Julia George, Jessica Lattaker, Jennifer Lattaker, Jasmine Lattaker,

his two great nieces Jayda and Jordan, two great nephews Jaheim and Julian.

Also survived by his Pittsburgh Liberia Families and Idlewild Street families and friends. 

George transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home

On Wednesday, October 8, 2020.
