David "Chico" Ian Sakulsky

David Ian Sakulsky, born July 16, 1963, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, at the age of 61. A vibrant soul with an infectious zest for life, David leaves behind a legacy of joy, laughter, and love.

David was a devoted father to his son, Jacob, and daughter, Dani, with whom he cherished countless moments filled with warmth and connection. He also left behind his former wife, Jennifer Sakulsky. Preceded in death by his parents Jacob Sakulsky and Pearl “Brickman” Sakulsky and his sister, Debbi. His heart was also shared with his sisters Carol and Marlene along with brother in-law Denny, his nephews and beloved girlfriend, Ginny, and her sons, Brian and Robert, whom he embraced as his own. 

A man of many passions, David dedicated his life to helping others as a counselor to youth and young adults. Later in life, he found enjoyment in working at the Pittsburgh Sports venues. He was known by many Pittsburghers as the “Hot Dog Guy” and entertained them through song, dance and his famous quotes. He could often be found on the green or at the card table. David found delight in the rhythm of dance, writing poetry, the challenge of a golf course, and his favorite of all the thrill of a poker game. His quick wit and humor brought smiles to everyone around him, making every gathering brighter. Above all, David treasured time spent with his family and Ginny, creating memories that will live on in their hearts forever.

David's light will continue to shine through those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A private viewing will be held at Stephen M. Brady Funeral Home prior to cremation. Friends will be received at a later date to be posted.
