Dajuan Lance Dugger

Beloved son of Lance John Dugger and Tanisha Rana Worthy, was born into our loving family on April 3, 1998. He was the oldest of five children. Dajuan was compassionate, smart , funny, and most of all charismatic, which is why everyone loved him. As a child he loved riding bikes with the kids in the neighborhood, playing video games, dancing, listening to music, and of course playing sports. Dajuan attended Westwood Elementary, Pittsburgh Classical Academy, and graduated from Allderdice High School in Pittsburgh, PA in 2016. He later attended Lock Haven University, Erie Community College, and All-State Career School where he wasset to obtain his CDL license laterthis month. For a period, Dajuan joined the service team at North Hills Toyota and worked as an automotive detailer. He developed an affinity and expertise with cars and planned on starting his own detailing business one day. Dajuan was a natural athlete and at the tender age of 8 he began hisfootball c career playing forthe Carlynton Little Cougars; he excelled in both football and basketball. He wasthe starting quarterback on the football team and a powerforward on the 2017 Allderdice WPIAL championship basketball team. His passion forlife was expressed through sports as a leader on the football field and as an essential member of the Allderdice basketball team. Dajuan’sfootball career extended throughout high school and college. He was also an enthusiastic mentorto histalented brothers asthey followed forward in hisfootsteps, achieving awards and recognition in football, basketball, and track. Dajuan loved being “big brother” and protectorto hissiblings, the strong connection they shared created an unbreakable bond. He loved hanging out and interacting with members of hisfamily and friends. In a room filled with hisloved ones, he would be sure to crack a joke that would make everyone laugh. His smile and personality was beautiful, infectious, and permeated any gathering that he was a part of. Dajuan was a kind soul, beautifully made inside and out. He loved kids, they were drawn to his pure energy. He wastenderhearted and genuinely cared for everyone; he wanted to see everyone succeed. He had an ability to recognize others’ potential and was willing to help in any way possible. One thing that most people didn’t know about Dajuan isthat he loved to cook and was always willing to pitch in on the grill, again showing his nurturing, loving personality through food and being a service to others. Dajuan departed from thislife peacefully on January 30, 2023. He is preceded in death by his great grandparents Major Lance Dugger Sr., John Ferrell Jr., Lottie Leftwich Dugger, Prudy Belle Benson, Richard Sr. and Carolyn McClung, Bernice Worthy, Great uncle Stephen Todd Dugger. Great Aunt Crystal Worthy. Dajuan leavesto cherish his memory, father Lance John Dugger, mother Tanisha Rana Worthy, brothers: Dalen, Jaden, and Julian Dugger,sister Gavyn Littlejohn; Great grandfather Frank Smith; Grandparents Major Lance DuggerJr., Annette Dugger; Patricia McClung, Phillip Worthy. Great Aunts: Valerie Burks, Juane Lawson, Janice McClung, Belinda Worthy, Catrina Worthy; Great Uncle: Dr. William S. Mayes Jr, Richard McClung Jr., Reginald Worthy; Aunts: Teri, Dawn, and Janae Dugger, Ashley Worthy; Uncles: Patrick, Dominick, and Devin McClung; Cousins: Brandon, Corey, Cameron, Jordyn, and Ryan Moran, Darrien, Dionne, and Davonte Dugger, Malachi, and Mikael Blackwell. Paige, Jaxon, and Carson Brown. In addition to an abundance of cousins,relatives, and friends.

a visitation and service tomorrow (Wed. Feb 8, 2023)

with funeral service to follow at 11am
